Prom 2015 (KKMS)

So awhile back, my friend (Maira) texted me and asked whether I would like to come to my ex-school's prom dinner. To be honest, I was rather hesitant at first as I thought it would be awkward, considering I hadn't seen most of my friends in 2 years. But I'm so glad that I decided to go, because it turned out to be a wonderful night :)

Funny thing was, I never once talked with him in the three years I was in school hahah.

Which was kinda funny considering he was my best friend's cousin. 

But thank goodness, we finally became friends this year. 

Take my advice. If you want to make friends with someone, or get to know a certain someone more, don't hesitate and be shy. Just introduce yourself. You never know when circumstances change and before you know it, you may have lost the opportunity to have had a friendship with someone.

All in all, it was an amazing night! I had a couple more pictures with other people but I won't post them because 

a) I look like a potato

b) I can't find the pictures

It was so interesting to see all my classmates and level mates after two years. Some of them have really changed and some have remained exactly the same.

Really disappointed that I won't be seeing this bunch of people anymore after this year. *bawls* I can only hope that fate works in my favour and that KK is small enough for me to bump into some of them whenever I'm back :)

Hello! My recent post 'Her' must have come off as little depressing right? Haha. I'd like to just say that's not the case though :) It was just something I had been mulling over for about two years and I thought it would be good to get it out of my system. However, I'm glad to say that I've finally gotten over it! To any girls/guys out there who are facing unrequited affection, it gets better :P Just know that you are amazing and theres bound to be someone out there for you. It's not point to linger so long on those feelings. It's not fair to you - or the other person. 

Just put on a new shirt, do your hair, stop moping around and go meet new people. Make lots of friends. You'll soon come to realise that there are indeed plenty of fish in the sea. And when the time is right, God will bring that special fish to you. (lol I clearly need to come up with better metaphors)

Short update

So sorry to all the people (if there are any) who are waiting for my update on the wedding haha!

7 more days till the big wedding!

I can still remember my brother telling the family about Evonne, like about 5 years ago? And my first thought was 'oh damn she's gorgeous'. Hahah

Now, 5 years later, they're about to get married! It's pretty amazing how time flies. I really can't wait for the day to come! Man, I am going to cry so much.

International Night 2015

Feeling rather sentimental whilst writing this haha

The first post on my blog last year was on International Night 2014. And today, ill be telling you about International Night 2015 haha :D

Murphy's Law

Murphy's law is an adage or epigram that is typically stated as: Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

I saw the ball approaching Jann En's outstretched fingers and stupidly decided to intercept the darn ball. So I stuck out my hand and my fingers got caught in a crossway between her hand and the ball and it kind of dieded. 

Long story short, I iced my fingers, ate lunch with my left hand and am now typing this with eight fingers. My fingers have swelled to a considerable size, turned green and I basically can't move them. And the worse part is, Eng prelims start tomorrow?? How am I supposed to write two essays? Quickly nonetheless. Oh help. Of all days, I choose the day before prelims to injure my writing hand. 

But all in all, I'm still grateful for today because:
1. Only two fingers got hurt- not the whole hand
2. It wasn't my thumb or forefinger so I mean it's not that bad 
3. I learnt how to spin a pen with my left hand
4. I got extra time during my exams!

So life's still good. Ish.

Update: So I went to see the doctor and it's apparently pretty bad haha. Lots of blood vessels burst and I previously thought that I couldn't straighten my fingers due to the pain, but the doctor said that I may have tore some ligament in my proximal joint area that actually prevents me from straightening my fingers completely. ._.

To Approach or Not

Have you ever felt the urge to just walk up to someone and go "Hey, you're pretty cool. Wanna hang some time?" but you suppressed that urge because sadly, it is deemed 'weird' and 'awkward' and 'unacceptable' to do that? Just because well you have no...connections, or common topics or yeah.

It's so blatantly annoying that all of us (I included, unfortunately) seem to conform to this concept that we can't simply approach someone to ask for a friendship out of nowhere.

Hmmm.

Style or Comfort?

While trudging back to our rooms in our slippers, with our heels in hand after a tiring night, I proposed the question of "Would you sacrifice style for comfort?" to Nikki and Carissa. To which they both gave a adamant 'YES'. I, however, have to disagree.

Don't get me wrong, I love comfort wear and I'm all for baggy shirts and sweatpants. But I think when it comes down, to wearing heels or flats to a function, I'd go for the heels (cause y'know, legs) Comfort is great and all, but I feel that looking good comes with a certain price - and I'm willing to pay the price.

Are you?

I guess the whole thought of knowing I look my best overshadows the discomfort I feel?

Lack of updates

The reason I don't blog much, is because I honestly have no idea what to write about, haha. Like I start to write but I give up halfway because:
1) No inspiration
2) No writing skills

So, if you have any ideas, I'm open to them yo.

Founder's Day Dinner was an absolute blast! Notwithstanding the wardrobe malfunction of my heels breaking, I had a ton of fun. Food was great, although I missed a couple of courses, and everyone looked stunning!
