The season of joy and happiness and presents and thanksgiving and snow(lol I wish) is among us!
ITS CHRISTMASSSSSSSSSSSSSS
(y'all should check out 'Mary Did You Know' and 'Drummer Boy' by Pentatonix because it is excellent)
So many things have happened! So now its time for a..
Highlights of November
(in no particular order)
1. Getting contacts
Like. FINALLY. It actually wasn't as scary as I had expected it to be! I'd advise anyone who is contemplating to get contacts or not - to definitely get them! It is so worth it!
I have to admit I was freaking out the whole time I was at the optician hahah I was previously terrified at the thought of having to use my finger to touch my eyeball. The whole idea was *shudders*
But actually, once you get it in, it's not that bad :)
(that's what she said)(HAHA)(jk)(this blog is pg)
2. Movie and supper
Oh this was sooo fun, and I had such a great time!
From squeezing 5 people in the back seat of a proton waja, to wayyy too many sexual innuendos, to talking throughout the movie in the cinema, to lap-dancing (I promise it's not what you think), to mutilating the pizza, to not finishing the onion rings.
Jesse also brought along his Canadian cousin, Anthony, who was super friendly. He KIIIIIND OF and by kind of, I mean not really, and by not really, I mean sort of looks like Chris Collins.
For y'all who don't know who Chris Collins is, he's a youtuber - WeeklyChris. Google him. NOW.
I know in the picture doesn't really portray the resemblance, but in real life, they do sort of look alike.
sort of.
Gone Girl was so good yet so so bad. By that, I mean the plot was genius and the actors did great but it just wasn't my type of movie. IT DID"NT HAVE A HAPPY ENDING. I hate movies that don't end happily. :( If you guys like psychopaths and sadistic story-lines then yeah, this is the movie for you.
But all in all, I had a fantastic time with this bunch.
3. Jo's Birthday
#JoTurns14
Everybody wanted sushi so we (Jess, Jo, Mel and I) went to Nagasaki to celebrate Jo's birthday :)
The food was goooood :D
After eating, we walked over to suria where we window-shopped for awhile.
4. Finding Ana Musical
My church, Skyline, produced and directed a musical this year titled, 'Finding Ana'. It is a touching story about a father who despite many obstacles thrown his way, searches tirelessly for his lost daughter, Ana.
I LOVED IT. It was done so so well. Massive applause to the directors, cast and crew! It was absolutely brilliant. Both entertaining and touching!
As many as 2000 people came for the musical and we had many salvations and re-dedications.
All glory to God above!
5. Family trip up the mountain
Our family was altogether for the first time this year so we decided to head up to the mountains and spend the whole weekend there together. :)
The driver!
The weather turned from bright and sunny to dark and rainy in an hour haha
6. Joining the breakfast club
After church, I, Chelsea, Sarah, Deb and Esther took a shuttle bus to Suria where we hung out till like 5:30pm.
We had lunch at Upperstar.
-and then went to watch Gone Girl. AGAIN.
Chelsea, the ever beautiful Esther, Sarah and Deb!
Sarah and I look like giants xD
7. Breakfast with friends
Kind of impromptu breakfast date with these guys! Again, @ Pete's Corner, Asia City. Sarah and I didn't order anything as we weren't hungry but the rest had um chicken chop I think..?
Had a great time chatting and after that David left to go to the airport while the others went to Suria.
8. Lunch with Jo & Mel
After like forever, we finally managed to find a time where everyone was free and we met up for lunch :) It was so good to catch up with these girls!
9. Hanging with the bros
I was having the most horrible day, a mixture of terrible cramps, a whopping headache and frustrations at my computer.
But my bros brought me out for bah kut teh for dinner and then to suria for shopping :) And racing! We played Daytona AHHAHAH I got 3rd twice out of the five times we played. .-.
I think that was mostly because of the fact that I drove automatic while they used manual haha
10. Family time + Hobbit
The journey through middle kingdom has ended :| :/ :( :'(
No more legolas for me *sobs*
The movie was...not bad. It was honestly kind of draggy but interesting nonetheless.
I do wish they had followed the book a little more though.
11. CHRISTMASSSS
:)
Absolutely adored all my presents.
Love y'all
