AUS ROCs: 5th Day

We went caving today!!

We took a hike up the mountain for about 15-20 minutes or so. We could have probably gone a little faster but we were all pretty lazy haha. Once reached. we put down our bags, put our helmets and flashlights on and the guide briefed us on how it would be like in the cave.

I'm slightly claustrophobic?? Small, tight places are nasty. I thought the caves would be really musty and like hard to breathe in and so I was kind of reluctant to go in ahah but I didn't really have a choice so I went in.

Surprisingly, the air was still pretty fresh in the cave. Breathing was not a problem at all. THE ROCKS WERE. Majority of the time we were in the cave, we had to grab onto rocks to support us and ohhh goshhh the rocks were really really painful. 4 minutes into the cave and I had already gotten quite a few small cuts on my hand. Not only that, they were muddy and wet.

We had to squeeze through lots of tiny tiny holes. TINY. But thankfully, everybody managed to fit through all the holes hahha confirmation that we're thin yah

Twas not a good day for tall people though. Due to the fact that they had to pull their whole body through the hole while the shorter ones could just kind of slip through.

Halfway through caving, we switched off our headlamps and experienced total darkness, where we couldn't even see our hands in front of us! Which was super cool.

After one and a half hours later, we finished caving!! The kind guides had prepared lunch for us. :) It was a wrap filled with lettuce, cabbage, corn and kidney beans. Believe it or not, I finished it :P well, most of it.

After caving, we visited the Eureka skydeck!
